Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to visit East Africa?+

The best time depends on your priorities. For the Great Migration, aim for July–October in the Masai Mara. For gorilla trekking, the dry seasons (June–September and December–February) are ideal. East Africa can be visited year-round.

What vaccinations do I need?+

Yellow fever vaccination is required for most East African countries. We also recommend hepatitis A & B, typhoid, and malaria prophylaxis. Always consult your travel health clinic 6–8 weeks before departure.

Is it safe to travel to East Africa?+

Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Zanzibar are all well-established safari destinations with strong tourism infrastructure. We brief all guests on safety and our guides are trained in first aid and emergency procedures.

What should I pack for a safari?+

Neutral-coloured clothing (khaki, green, beige), layers for cool mornings, a wide-brimmed hat, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a good pair of binoculars. We send a full packing list with every booking.

How do I pay for my safari?+

We require a 30% deposit to confirm your booking, with the balance due 60 days before departure. We accept bank transfers and most major credit cards.
