Your Itinerary
Arrive Nairobi — The Safari Begins
Your Zuraya guide meets you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Transfer to a boutique hotel in Karen — the quiet, leafy suburb named after Karen Blixen — for an evening briefing over dinner.
Fly to the Mara — First Game Drive
An early morning domestic flight drops you onto an airstrip in the heart of the ecosystem. Your guide and vehicle are waiting. The afternoon game drive begins immediately — and in the Mara, the wildlife rarely waits. Sundowners on a kopje as the sky turns amber.
The River — Watching and Waiting
Today is dedicated to the Mara River. Your guide knows the crossing points. You wait at the bank, watching the herds build on the Tanzanian side. When they move, everything happens at once — crocodiles, chaos, thousands of hooves on churned red water. Nothing prepares you for the scale of it.
Private Conservancy — The Mara Beyond the Crowds
Move to a private conservancy on the Mara's edge. Here, you are one of very few vehicles. Walking safaris, night drives, and fly camping become possible. The game is no less spectacular — often more so. This is the Mara as it should be experienced.
Cultural Morning — Authentic Maasai Encounter
A morning visit to a genuine Maasai manyatta — not a performance for tourists but an invitation into daily life. Warriors who also serve as your guides at the camp take you home. Afternoon game drive focused on cheetah and big cat behaviour.
Cross Into Tanzania — Serengeti Connection
A short flight crosses you into Tanzania. The Serengeti from above is one of Africa's great sights — ochre grassland stretching to every horizon. Game drive on the northern Serengeti plains, then into the highlands above Ngorongoro Crater for sunset from the rim.
Crater Descent — Then Farewell
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater at dawn for a half-day game drive among the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa — lions, elephants, rhino, hippo, flamingos, all within the ancient caldera walls. Ascend, drive to Arusha, and connect to your international flight.
