DAY BY DAY
Your Itinerary
Lift Off — Nairobi to the North
Your private helicopter departs Wilson Airport and tracks north over the Great Rift Valley. The landscape transforms below you — from agricultural highlands to semi-arid scrub to the red-rock drama of Samburu. Touch down at the camp's private airstrip. Your butler is waiting.
Samburu's Unique Five — Species Found Nowhere Else
Samburu is home to five species unique to this ecosystem — the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Your guide knows the difference between a Samburu morning game drive and any other morning game drive in East Africa: here, you might see something you will never see again.
Helicopter to the Chalbi — Camel Safari
A short flight carries you over the Matthews Range and into the Chalbi Desert — one of Kenya's most remote and least-visited landscapes. A camel-back trek with Gabbra nomads takes you through terrain that feels genuinely primordial. Camp under the desert stars with a fire, a blanket, and the silence of a landscape that has barely changed in a thousand years.
Laikipia — Horseback and Private Conservancy
Fly to the Laikipia Plateau, Kenya's most progressive conservation landscape. A morning on horseback through the conservancy — moving among elephant and buffalo at ground level in a way that no game vehicle can replicate. An afternoon game drive targets rhino: Laikipia holds one of Africa's most significant black rhino populations.
Final Flight — Nairobi and Home
A final helicopter flight south returns you to Wilson Airport. Your Zuraya journey through Northern Kenya ends as it began — in the air, looking down at a landscape that very few people have ever seen this way.
